Call for industry bank to fix UK economy

As the UK attempts to re-balance its economy away from financial services, questions are being raised over how to encourage growth in British manufacturing. Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya, director of the Warwick Manufacturing Group and long-serving adviser to the UK government on industrial matters, tells the FT's Peter Marsh that the time is ripe for the creation of an industry bank - a financial institution solely focused on the country's manufacturing sector.
