Asset management enters a new era

Jonathan Lipkin, head of research and pensions at the Investment Management Association, says the results of the IMA's annual asset management survey signal the beginning of a new period for asset management. Respondents indicated they are focusing more on customers' needs. The shift can be seen in a growth in liability driven investment, target date and diversified growth strategies, and, in the retail market, a shift towards absolute return funds.
