European banks cut leverage in Asia

Regulators and the eurozone sovereign debt crisis are forcing Europe's banks to shrink their balance sheets in Asia. While a rapid retreat would cause havoc in the region, Tom Quarmby, director of Asian bank research at Barclays Capital, explains to the FT's Robert Cookson why he expects an orderly withdrawal.
