Betting large on emerging markets

Jerome Booth, head of research at Ashmore Investment Management, explains why he has invested 90 per cent of his portfolio in emerging markets, and why he would recommend everyone else commits at least 50 per cent. Prejudice is the only thing holding people back, he says, and that is changing rapidly. Depending on strategy, surplus currencies, equities or corporate debt are the EM sectors to watch.
