A new Christmas carol from the FT

Listen to the premiere of a new Christmas carol, "When Icicles Hang from the Wall", commissioned by Jane Owen, the FT House & Home editor. Glyndebourne’s young composer in residence Luke Styles based the carol on words from Shakespeare's “Love's Labours Lost”.

Filmed and edited by Kevin Early. Conducted by musician and FT choirmaster Paul Ayres. Performed by students from London College of Music - Rebecca Moloney, Samantha Vaughan, Mikey Wooster, Alois Zenz, Anastasiia Golovina, Patricia Brogli - and accompanied on piano by FT 'agony uncle' David Tang at his London house. Produced by Josh de la Mare.
