Getting the HSBC house in order

HSBC's shares dipped after the bank reported a 6 per cent fall in profit, mainly due to claims for insurance mis-selling and money laundering fines. However, the stock has gained 35 per cent since the start of last year and revenues were up 7 per cent, better than most other Europe-based banks.
