Bleak times for coffee growers

Supply shocks sent coffee prices higher in 2009 and 2010, encouraging growers to plant more. But now the price has fallen 60 per cent from its peak and the market seems saturated. The FT's Ben McLannahan says that there is little prospect of improvement
