Choppy US equities require investor focus

The choppy performance of US equities could well challenge many investors. The FT's US markets editor Michael MacKenzie says that whether 2014 is a profitable year will come down to investors relying less on endless liquidity from the Federal Reserve that, like a high tide, has floated all equity boats.
