BP spill won't change oil sector radically

“We’ve been drilling in the Gulf of Mexico for about 65 years now, have drilled 42,000 wells and this is the first time we’ve had a tragic incident like this,” Jack Gerard, President and CEO of the American Petroleum Institute tells Stephanie Kirchgaessner, Washington correspondent. “We’re going to learn lessons from this unfortunate event, but I don’t think it fundamentally changes the energy industry,” he concluded.
