Derivatives chief challenged by Republicans

Gary Gensler, chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, tells the FT’s Tom Braithwaite that the CFTC needs more funding to meet all of its regulatory duties specified under the Dodd-Frank reforms. Mr Gensler also talks about his plans to create swap execution facilities and regulating non-financial companies.
