Mar 4: Richard Holbrooke on Afghanistan and Pakistan

In the continuation of a new series from Washington DC, Richard Holbrooke, US special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, talks to Edward Luce, the FT's Washington bureau chief. He discusses his "agnostic" attitude towards whether the Pakistani government has committed in whole as a partner to the US in the war on terror, in spite of the dramatic arrest of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, an Afghan Taliban leader. He also discusses the condition of the US military surge in Afghanistan and the prospects for US military withdrawal in July 2011.
