Strauss-Kahn denied bail - analysis

Virginie Robert, New York correspondent for the French business newspaper Les Echos, talks to the FT’s Barney Jopson about the denial of bail to Dominique Strauss-Kahn, and the shocked reaction in France. The managing director of the International Monetary Fund was formally charged in a New York court over the alleged sexual assault of a maid at a hotel in the city. Mr Strauss-Kahn has denied all charges.
