Jun 17: Refugees on the Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan border

Last week’s ethnic violence in Osh, Kyrgyzstan prompted between 50,000 to 100,000 people to flee, with many trying to cross over the country’s border with Uzbekistan. The FT’s Central Asia correspondent Isabel Gorst reports from the ground on the atmosphere on the border, and the situation for the thousands of refugees there.
