Leap in interest in frontier markets

Jul 25 2011  Andrea Nannini, senior fund manager, frontier markets at HSBC Global Asset Management, says there has been a jump in interest in frontier markets over the last few years. He says they offer greater diversification and lower correlation than emerging markets and their risk-return benefits are attractive, so long as investors hold investments in a wide range of countries. HSBC GAM has exposure to over 25 markets in its portfolio. Mr Nannini said he favours Nigeria and UAE at the moment.  (5m 13sec)
