Regulators must cooperate to avoid data gaps

Sep 19 2011  International regulators and central banks have warned that moves to shore up the vast over-the-counter derivatives market could be undermined by potential data gaps in trade repositories, the information warehouses that store details on trades. Larry Thompson, general counsel of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, tells FT Trading Room's Philip Stafford there needs to be global harmonisation among all regulators.  (5m 10sec)
