In defence of high-frequency trading

High-frequency trading is under fresh attack from European policymakers. However Remco Lenterman, chairman of FIA European Principal Traders Association, defends the industry's social utility to Philip Stafford, and calls some European proposals to curb their activities as "unprecedented".
