Ladbrokes takes a tumble

Ladbrokes shares fell eight per cent after a disappointing set of first-quarter numbers, which the bookmaker blamed on the Cheltenham horseracing festival and winter race cancellations. But with shares now at a discount to those of rival William Hill, Lex's Stuart Kirk and Oliver Ralph consider whether the group's problems are more structural rather than a temporary blip.
