Steve Ballmer, chairman and chief executive of Microsoft, talks to Paul Taylor, the FT's personal technology correspondent about Windows Mobile and the new generation of Windows phones. Mr Ballmer argues that sales volumes suggest his company is not playing catch-up and that Microsoft will focus on low and high-cost smart-phones.
