Rolls-Royce likely to settle out of court

Rolls-Royce, the UK aerospace engine maker, is likely to settle out of court with Australian airline Qantas, says FT manufacturing editor Peter Marsh. But he says Rolls-Royce, facing one of its biggest PR failures, has to explain more about how a component in one of its Trent 900 engines contributed to a mid-air explosion on a Qantas A380 flight.
