Senior Republican: tax deal adds too much debt

Tom Coburn, Republican Senator from Oklahoma, tells the FT's James Politi that President Barack Obama's deal on extending the Bush tax cuts does not address the real problems. Mr Coburn says the plan will put the US further in debt and should be accompanied by spending cuts. He says he has not decided if he will support the compromise.
