May 7: UK market turns to US after indecisive poll

The uncertainty of a hung parliament in the UK caused gilts futures trading, which opened for the first time in London at 01:00, to be largely uneventful, after a lively start. David Oakley, Capital Markets Correspondent, who witnessed the overnight markets action, expects a plunge on Thursday in US shares of more than 3 per cent to be of more concern to markets.
