Geoff Cooper, chief executive of Travis Perkins, the UK's largest builders' merchant, talks to Ed Hammond, construction reporter, about why the latest figures from the ONS, which show construction down by almost 5 per cent, are a big surprise. He says around 30 basis points of growth should be added to the overall GDP figures.
