Hamas could shift on Israel if talks go well

Barack Obama needs to be decisive if fresh Israeli-Palestinian talks on a two-state solution are to have any chance of success, says a sceptical Amr Moussa, Secretary General of the Arab League. Speaking to the FT’s Defence and Diplomatic editor James Blitz at the Ambrosetti conference in Milan, Moussa also says Hamas could soften its stance on Israel if the talks begin to gather momentum, and the settlements issue is resolved decisively.
